What to expect
Your Self Love Social day
Please arrive at 9:30am, ready for the event to begin promptly at 10am. This is a carefully planned, full-day experience lasting until 4:30pm, so all guests must be available for the entire event and won’t be able to leave part-way through.

We’ll then move into professional hair and makeup styling, included for every guest.

Refreshments will be available throughout the break. If you would like something more substantial for lunch, please bring this with you.
Afternoon
The photoshoots
After lunch, we’ll begin the individual photoshoots before building towards the big finale: our celebratory group shoots at the end of the day.
Essential to bring
Please bring black swimwear or underwear of your choice for the group photos. For your individual photos, you can wear anything you feel comfortable in, in any colour. Please also bring a cover-up or robe to wear between styling and photoshoots.

Body positivity advocate & event creator
Meg Kilgour
Megan is a body-positivity and confidence advocate who is passionate about normalising the bodies we don’t always see online and helping women feel confident exactly as they are. Through her empowering message, she encourages women to practise self-love, embrace their individuality and feel proud of who they are.
Photographer & event creator
Penny Kay
Penny is the photographer behind Penny Kay Photography and one of the people who brought Self Love Socials to life. Her relaxed, natural approach is all about helping people feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, capturing genuine confidence, connection and personality rather than forced poses. Penny believes everyone deserves photographs that make them feel seen, celebrated and proud of exactly who they are—and she cannot wait to create that experience for every woman joining us.
Professional makeup artist
Megan Mayhew
With 10 years of experience in the makeup industry, Meg is passionate about making every person who sits in her chair feel comfortable, confident and like the very best version of themselves. From weddings and events to special occasions, she is all about enhancing the beauty that is already there—and we are so excited to have her bringing her talent and positive energy to our Self Love Social.

Ellie Napier & Leah Bowen
Ellie and Leah are the easy-going hairdressing duo behind the styling at Self Love Socials. They believe getting your hair done should be about far more than the finished look—it should feel comfortable, relaxed and full of conversation and laughter. Perfectionists when it comes to their work, they care deeply about every detail and create hair that feels personal to you. Their goal is never to transform you into somebody else, but to hype you up and help you see just how gorgeous you already are.
